CUT-OUTS

Her beauty caused all this pain

CHRISTOPHE CACHELIN EXHIBITION

Christophe takes scissors and cuts out colours.

He impulsively arranges shapes and fragments to build powerful collages.
No sketches are allowed.
There are some constants; undoubtedly the woman’s body is one of them.

His creations vary from joyful equilibriums to reactions to current events.
The range of his subjects goes from pure aesthetics to catharsis of very personal journeys.

Cachelin’s research for new media is restless. During the last couple of years the self-taught artist has experimented with many different techniques. From felt-tip penned animal universes, he went on to create radiant sculptures, simplistic nudes and ceramic masks.

Paper, scissors and glue are his boldest and most poetic tools.

CUT-OUTS exhibition aims to display the artist’s latest prolific activity.

Christophe Cachelin is a Swiss artist based in London. He exhibited in several exhibitions and international fairs.
