CHRISTOPHE CACHELIN EXHIBITION

MASK TO UNVEIL

We each constitute a multitude of personalities. In fact we are more akin to a spectrum of personas with no definitive identities; just infinitesimal moments of being a unique iteration of oneself.

MSKS is Christophe Cachelin’s exhibition of self discovery where we are welcomed voyeurs to his personal examination of the spectrum of his personalities.

Christophe uses clay to capture those fleeting moments of his temporary identities allowing him to hold his personas in his hands and stare right back at them; at himself.

Christophe’s work is in keeping with his inherent and vibrant influences of deep tribal roots, elegant yet bold shapes and fearless cut outs.

The artist, known as Kidd Feather, inspires us to reassess how we perceive our own selves through the mirror. Our image is beyond our reflection, he suggests. We are in fact the sum of the masks that we wear.

Only by examining each mask within the spectrum of our identities we are able to truly unveil ourselves.
